The Who played a set at Madison Square Garden over the weekend, and played TWO songs that they say will be on an album “next year”

On Sept 1, while in NYC for the Moving On! tour, Pete Townshend told the crowd “Next year, hopefully, the songs that we release in November will be greatest hits. … Or maybe they won’t.” hinting at a “bunch of recordings” will contain “11 or 12 songs”

It’s been 24 years since their last album, so I think we can wait a few more months.  But until then, The Who played two new songs titled “Hotel Ground Zero” and “Big Cigar” to hold us over.

Enjoy!
