The music continues for the quintessential band of the 80s and 90s, R.E.M. Not even an amicable breakup in 2011 can stop the rock.

The band’s producer, Scott Litt, compiled a box set to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the band’s “Monster” album.

The box set contains new mixes of the 1994 LP on six discs.

The producer included “unheard demos and an unreleased live recording,” according to Ultimate Classic Rock.

“Monster” originally debuted at No. 1 in the U.S. The album was led by “What’s the Frequency, Kenneth?”

The band found an original sound with unique twists. This led critics to call the work glam rock, punk rock, grunge and alternative rock.

The box set will be released on Nov. 1. For the audiophile, a double-vinyl edition will also be available.
