Slash reveals there was no truth to the rumor that the band has a new song for the new Terminator movie.

Rumors where swirling aroud the soundtrack for Terminator: Dark Fate, in which Ahhhnold, Linda Hamilton, and Eddie Furlong FINALLY reprise their original roles from 1992’s Judgement Day.   G&R had a track, “You Could Be Mine” which was featured heavily in the movie, and again in the 2009 sequel Terminator Salvation.  There was even a really cool video on MTV for it.

Slash mentioned to Eddie Trunk on Sirius Radio this week that while the band IS touring, and will be working on new material for next year, there will NOT be a track on “Dark Fate” saying “There’s nothing in the Terminator movie. These rumors, they take off and then they get a life of their own and you can’t reel ‘em in. They just sort of get tossed around in the wind. Anyway… yeah, so there’s nothing in there.”
Not a lot room for interpretation there.  But at least there’s a mention of new music.  Though, we waited years for “Chinese Democracy” and that album sucked.  So.  There ya go.
