KFC testing out a chicken donut meal

KFC is testing the limits of what can be done with fried chicken.

In a test limited to areas on the east coast, KFC is offering a fried chicken and doughnut basket meal. The meal offers “chicken on the bone or chicken tenders paired with one or two doughnuts,” according to ABC 7.

Customers have the option of eating the donut and the chicken separately.

The donut and chicken combination comes from the same restaurant chain that came up with the Double Down.

The Double Down is the bread-less chicken sandwich. Two chicken fillets make up the bun with = bacon, cheese and sauce in between.

KFC has not announced plans to offer the chicken and donut basket nationwide.
