Metallica is giving fans a sneak peek of their upcoming concert movie S&M2.
The band released a clip of the song “The Memory Remains” performed with the San Francisco Symphony. S&M2 documents two concerts Metallica performed featuring the San Fran Symphony.
There’s something magical about combining a full stringed orchestra with classic rock music. The energy level is heightened, the crowd is going wild, and watching cellists jam out is mesmerizing.
Metallica and the symphony put on a show together for the first time in 1999. They celebrated the 20th anniversary of the original S&M shows on the same day the new Chase Center opened on the San Fransico waterfront.
The two musical talents rocked out to many songs from their iconic 1999 performances as well as new music Metallica has dropped since then.
S&M2 is be screened on October 9th in more than 3,000 theaters globally. The movie will be playing in nine different locations in Utah alone.
