Marie Fredriksson Of Roxette Has Died At 61

Marie Fredriksson died Monday after a 17-year battle with cancer.

The 61-year-old singer was half of the 80s pop duo Roxette, and was also a successful solo artist in  Sweden before that.  Roxette was best known for “The Look,” which was number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1989.  As well as “It Must Have Been Love,” and “Joyride”
In 2016 doctors had advised Fredriksson to stop touring in due to her cancer diagnosis, and advising her to focus more on her health.
