ZZ Top: That Little Ol’ Band From Texas

By Jon Smith:

We all use that line to describe ZZ Top, but that’s also the name of a documentary released last summer and will also be released on Blu-ray, DVD and digital Feb. 28.

There will also be an additional 35 minutes of bonus footage, including performances of “Shuffle In C / Fannie Mae,” “La Grange,” “Brown Sugar” and “Blue Jean Blues”  shot specifically for the film.  Five other tracks that are featured were recorded between ’76 and ’81.

The doc shows the 50-year history of ZZ Top with new interviews and previously unseen footage.

Pre-orders are available at Eagle Rock’s website, where they have the video as well as other band merch, and autographed gear
