Keith Richards announced he quit smoking after decades of addiction. The Rolling Stone guitarist kicked his bad habit just in time for the band’s tour this year.

Richards confirmed he hasn’t had a smoke since October. “Done that, been there,” Richards told Jim Kerr of New York’s Q104.3, just a year after admitting it was “harder to quit than heroin.” The party animal claimed to have also quit drinking in early 2018.

These health revelations come just three months before the Stones kick off their No Filter tour. Keith Richards attempted to quit smoking in early 2019 but compared the process to his drug battles in the early ’70s.
