Bruce Springsteen & Jon Bon Jovi announce they will take part in New Jersey COVID-19 benefit show

By Trent Sell

Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi are among the star-studded group of New Jersey natives that will take part in the Jersey 4 Jersey benefit show. The Jersey 4 Jersey show will raise money to benefit the New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund, taking place on April 22nd, at 7 pm ET. This one-night event will help some of New Jersey’s most vulnerable communities. The fundraising efforts will support the social, medial, and economic impact of COVID-19.

Who else will be there?

Some of New Jersey’s biggest celebrities will be participating in the event, from the safety of their homes of course.  The list of celebrities includes Saquon Barkley, Tony Bennett, Jon Bon Jovi, Danny DeVito, Whoopi Goldberg, Halsey, Chelsea Handler, Charlie Puth, Kelly Ripa, Chris Rock, Bruce Springsteen, Jon Stewart, SZA and more. Catch this event on Apple Music and AppleTV apps worldwide. The live broadcast, along with 5 additional re-broadcasts, will be available on E Street Radio on SiriusXM. A number of local TV and radio stations in the surrounding areas will air the broadcast as well.

There are no details on whether musicians like Springsteen and Bon Jovi will perform or just speak at the event. Either way, it will surely be an entertaining night supporting a noteworthy cause. “New Jersey is on the front lines of this pandemic, making it more important than ever for us to do what Jersey does best – take care of one another,” said New Jersey First Lady Tammy Murphy. “That’s why we’re asking everyone in our state to join the NJPRF and some of New Jersey’s finest for some much-needed musical entertainment, levity and Jersey Pride during these unprecedented times.”

Cleveland Rocks: From Our Living Rooms

Another similar event featuring an at-home performance from Joan Jett & The Blackhearts will air tomorrow at 7 pm ET. This event, Cleveland Rocks: From Our Living Rooms, will broadcast on Cleveland’s Fox 8 WJW. Along with other performances from Ben Folds & Michael Stanley, the fundraiser will support the Greater Cleveland COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund.
