A series of farewell concerts for Gregg Allman have been planned for next month. The shows will come around the release date of his forthcoming posthumous release Southern Blood, which will come out on September 8. The celebration will include three shows and will be dubbed “Southern Blood: Celebrating Gregg Allman.” The shows will take place in Los Angeles, Nashville and Allman’s home of Macon, Georgia. The L.A. event will be held September 7th at the Grammy Museum’s Clive Davis Theater with the Macon show coming at the Allman Brothers Band Museum at the Big House on September 9. The Nashville show will be on September 15 at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s Ford Theater. Producer Don Was spoke one posthumous release and noted: “Gregg was explaining his life and making sense of it,” he said, “both for the fans who stood with him for decades, and for himself.” Copyright(c) 2017 RTTNews.com.
