The holidays will soon be upon us. For many, it will be festive and joyous. But for others, it will be the most tragic time of their lives. Nearly 20,000 deaths will occur nationally during the upcoming holiday season as a result of drunk driving,
In an effort to call attention to the possible tragic consequences of driving while under the influence, 103.5 the Arrow will join forces with Mother’s Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D), the Utah Highway Safety Office, and KSL 5 TV to distribute “red ribbon clings” to be placed on windows on your vehicle window. Participating in this campaign will serve as an agreement and pledge by the vehicle owners not to drink and drive.
This program presents a great opportunity for Utah businesses to position themselves as one who gets involved in the community. By acting as a ribbon distribution center, your business will not only get involvement on a hands-on level, but you also have the opportunity to merchandise your sponsorship (ex. Giving discounts to customers who proudly show their ribbon). We’ve designed various levels of participation to show your community support.

Adults drink too much and drive about 121 million times per year – or more than 300,000 incidents of drinking and driving a day.
DEATHS A YEAR
That’s 29 deaths every day and one death every 50 minutes. Each and every one of them 100% preventable.
INJURIES PER YEAR
290,000 injuries per year means exponentially more friends, family members and loved ones unnecessarily impacted by this preventable crime.
