Project Recovery

Joseph Call shares his recovery journey so far after being sober for 159 days

Joseph Call joins Casey Scott and Dr. Matt Woolley to talk about how his curiousity for finding his biological father led him to run away from home at thirteen years old, how he adapted to working and living in downtown Portland, and meeting his father for the first time in Ogden as a fourteen year old.

Joseph also opens up about his decision to start using meth to numb the pain he experienced during his time in Portland, how being taken advantage of by an uncle pushed him deeper into substance abuse, and why chronic back pain paired with his addiction led him to the darkest moment in his life.

Then Joseph talks about his decision to seek treatment for his addiction, what Action Recovery has taught him about living a life of recovery, and why he’s focused on making a difference by helping others find sobriety.
