Memorial Day, Veterans and the United States in Prophecy

Memorial Day in an official U.S. holiday to honor fallen U.S. military, veterans and more recently all family and friends who have died and passed on to the other side.  The origins are hundreds, perhaps thousands of years old, from the tradition of placing flowers on the graves of fallen solders.  The Restored Church of Jesus Christ believes the U.S. Constitution was divinely inspired.  Yet Joseph Smith and others stated the time would come when this nation and the Constitution would be on the verge of crumbling.  Prophecies include the idea a foreign power would invade from the South, perhaps the massive, unabated influx of illegal aliens constantly entering the United States, which has more illegal immigration each year that the combined legal and illegal immigration of all other countries in the world combined.
