SUNDANCE: Spaceship Earth

Biosphere 2 was an experiment in self-contained ecological sustainability.  In 1991, eight people (4-men and 4-women) locked themselves into an airtight structure along with a collection of plants and animals for two years.  

The new documentary Spaceship Earth at this year’s Sundance Film Festival details the mission. And Mark Nelson and Linda Leigh join me to discuss some of their experiences and what they think those of us on Biosphere 1 (The Earth) can learn from their experiment.
