Tax saving tips to make before the end of this year

If you want to give to charity and have it apply to your taxes, you need to donate before December 31st.  That’s from Andrea Winkler, a partner at Davis & Bott CPAs, and Susan Speirs, the CEO of Utah Association of CPAs.

Contributing to an IRA or HSA can also reduce your tax burden.  But have you heard of a ‘circuit breaker credit?’  Winkler explains how it can help those in the lower income tax brackets.
