Bob Dylan says that his upcoming Frank Sinatra covers record, Shadows In The Night, was motivated by his desire to make a covers album. Speaking with AARP, Dylan notes that he’s mostly left covers to others throughout his career. “All through the years, I’ve heard these songs being recorded by other people and I’ve always wanted to do that,” he said. “And I wondered if anybody else saw it the way I did.” He added that the AARP crowd was a likely target for the new LP, saying, “A lot of those readers are going to like this record. If it was up to me, I’d give you the records for nothing and you give them to every [reader of your] magazine.” Shadows In The Night hits February 3. Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com.
