Ondrej Pavelec, goalie for the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets, pays tribute to Bruce Springsteen with his protective mask, painted to match the cover of the Boss’ album Born to Run. According to Hockeynews.com, the art was done by Dave Gunnarsson, of Dave Art in Sweden, who specializes in airbrushing NHL masks. Pavelec has yet to wear the mask in a game setting, writes NJ.com. Last year, Pavelec said in an interview that his favorite Springsteen song was “Badlands.” He also said that he doesn’t get to listen to Bruce much in the locker room, because his teammates aren’t fans. Previous hockey stars to feature rockers on their masks include Jason LaBarbera, who has alternated Pearl Jam and Metallica depictions. Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
