Ed Sheeran took the stage alongside rock legends the Rolling Stones earlier this week for a performance of the latter’s classic “Beast of Burden.” The show took place at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium and Sheeran helped out on the track after offering up an opening set of his own. Ed and Mick Jagger had previously confirmed plans to connect for a live performance via a YouTube interview. They joked in the interview that they would, in fact, play a Stones song but would rather cover Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen.” “Ed and I have been rehearsing,” Jagger said. “We think it’s going to work in Kansas City. It’s one of the favorite songs of this group, so we’re bashing away at the piano and guitar doing that.” Ed had previously done a cover of the track during his performance on the Tonight Show.
