The Who closed out the 2015 Glastonbury Festival in grand fashion, taking a pot shot at Kanye West, who performed earlier in the festival, along the way. Referring to West’s claim that he was “the greatest living rock star on the planet” during his set, Who guitarist Pete Townshend described the band’s set-closer “Won’t Get Fooled Again” as “big and rebellious” before adding, “who’s the biggest rock star in the world?” which elicited cheers from the crowd. The band last performed at the festival in 2007, leading Townshend to say, “Here we are again. We’ve got a lovely, simple job to do tonight which is to send you home happy and maybe a bit deaf. So here we are.” As the band closed out their set, frontman Roger Daltrey said, “Music is a team effort, but you made it possible for us and I thank you from deep down inside. May you be happy, may you be healthy, but most of all may you be lucky.” Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
