A documentary chronicling the making of Keith Richards’ new solo album Crosseyed Heart, Keith Richards: Under the Influence will premiere on Netflix on September 18, the same day the album comes out. Keith Richards: Under the Influence features filmmaker Morgan Neville traveling alongside Richards to Chicago, Nashville and New York to learn more about his musical roots and sit in on the recording sessions for Crosseyed Heart. In addition to conversations with Richards, the movie also contains archival footage, plenty of music and an appearance by Tom Waits. “If there’s a Mount Rushmore of rock ‘n’ roll, Keith’s face is surely on it,” Neville says in a press release. “He has always represented the soul of rock music – for all of the light and dark shades that implies.
