The Rolling Stones have announced “EXHIBITIONISM,” their first ever major exhibition at London’s Saatchi Gallery next year. “EXHIBITIONISM” will open to the public on April 6, 2016 and run through September 2016. The exhibition will consist of nine themes spread out over two floors of the London venue, and will have over 500 Rolling Stones artifacts from the band’s personal archives on display. According to organizers, “EXHIBITIONISM” will include original stage designs, rare guitars and instruments, backstage paraphernalia, rare audio tracks and unseen video clips. There will also be personal diaries and correspondence from members of the Stones, original posters and album artwork, and cinematic presentations. “We’ve been thinking about this for quite a long time but we wanted it to be just right and on a large scale,” said frontman Mick Jagger in a statement. “The process has been like planning our touring concert productions and I think that right now it’s an interesting time to do it.” After its stint in London, “EXHIBITIONISM” will be moved to eleven other cities across the world over a four-year period.
