Tony Iommi has launched a new limited edition Epiphone SG model electric guitar. The new model features many signature items included on Tony’s own higher end Gibson SG – like Gibson humbucking pickups and cross inlays on the fretboard. “This guitar sounds like I want it to sound on stage,” said Iommi. “I play it at home in the studio as well. It uses my signature pickups, which we worked on for quite a while over the years. It’s got a great fretboard with a really nice feel. And, it’s just a really classy looking guitar.” The news comes at a busy time for Black Sabbath, who recently called off their farewell show. The band was due to play a headlining slot at Ozzfest Japan on November 22. A post from the band on their official Facebook page confirmed the news to fans. “Despite previous reports, Black Sabbath will not appear on this year’s Ozzfest Japan. The show will instead feature the festival’s namesake, Ozzy Osbourne (and friends).” Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
