Rick Wakeman of the band Yes has opened up about his potential induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. During a recent radio interview, Wakeman said that he had advocated for the band’s induction even when he was on a hiatus from the group. “I pushed publicly for Yes to go in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame when I wasn’t in the band, because I felt the band deserved to go in years ago, long after I left and before 2002, when I came back again for five years,” said Wakeman. He adds: “All I’ll say is there’s . . . some bands that have been inducted in that I have no idea why they’re in there, and there’s bands like Yes and a few others and you go, ‘Why aren’t they in?’ It just doesn’t make an ounce of sense to me.” Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com.
