The death of legendary Allman Brothers Band drummer Butch Trucks has been ruled a suicide. The Miami Herald has reported that Trucks shot himself in the head with a pistol while his wife Melinda was in the room with him. Trucks was found dead in his West Palm Beach, Florida condo earlier this week and new reports suggest that he was still alive when emergency responders reached the scene. Trucks’ wife placed a call to the West Palm Police department and records show that she was hysterical at the time. The drummer passed away shortly after responders hit the scene and thus far no foul play is suspected, according to rollingstone.com. Gregg Allman released a statement earlier this week that read: “I’m heartbroken. I’ve lost another brother and it hurts beyond words. Butch and I knew each other since we were teenagers and we were bandmates for over 45 years. He was a great man and a great drummer and I’m going to miss him forever. Rest In Peace Brother Butch.” Copyright(c) 2017 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
