Band mates of the late Allman Brothers drummer Butch Trucks paid tribute to the icon during a private memorial concert earlier this week. The event took place at the Cox Capitol Theatre in Macon, Georgia and featured a host family members and collaborators from throughout Trucks’ career. The venue shared an image of the show along with the caption: “In honor of the late Butch Trucks, the @capitol_macon held a private memorial to remember the good times with family and friends. Here is a clip of some of the remaining members of the #theallmanbrothersband and some familiar faces. An emotional day to say the least. @officialgreggallman @thebighousemuseum.” Though this event was private, a public service/concert for Trucks is set to take place at American Beauty in New York City on March 1.
