Fans of David Bowie are hoping to pool their resources to construct a new tribute to the artist in London. The tribute would come in the form of a lightning bolt similar to the one which Bowie famously painted on his face. The effort aims to raise just under one million pounds and would see the bolt constructed near Bowie’s home in the Brixton area of London: “Just as an otherworldly David Bowie landed in our lives, the memorial (is it too soon to call it the ZiggyZag?) stands embedded in the Brixton pavement – a three storey tall bolt from above. A nine metre missive from another dimension, hurled from afar,” reads a description on the crowdsourcing page. “Unexplained, yet utterly familiar; a poignant reminder that life does exist beyond the everyday. That music and art and curiosity are vital, positive contributors to our collective existence.” Copyright(c) 2017 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
