U2 performed the track “Dirty Day” at a home town show in Dublin on Friday after a gap of 25 years. The concert was part of their current Experience + Innocence world tour. The last time U2 played the song was in 1993, during the last leg of the Zoo TV tour. Lead singer Bono spoke to the home crowd about U2’s early days ahead of the Irish rock band’s performance: “Sons taking on fathers. So much to prove. U2 was our way of getting out from their shadow. To be different to them. Our way of telling our fathers, ‘I’m not like you.’ My father Bob, he didn’t take me too seriously. He could see I was doing a great job of that myself. He did give me a lot of advice. You know, I can still hear his voice when I sing.” Copyright(c) 2018 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
