The late Steve Jobs was not much of a Neil Young fan, as the famed Apple chief reveals in a new biography. Young had routinely spoken out about his distaste for Apple and their iTunes music platform, which the rock legends has argued propagates poor audio quality. Jobs was rumored to have beefed with Young over his comments about iTunes and is quoted blasting Young in a new biography called Becoming Steve Jobs, written by Brent Schlender and Rick Tetzeli. Jobs laments that Young didn’t offer to sit down with them about his technical concerns. “F- Neil Young, and f- his records,” Jobs reportedly said, adding it was wrong of Young to “pop off in public like that without coming to talk to us about his technical concerns first.” Young, however, recently noted that he believes Jobs would have also fought for better sounding music. “Steve Jobs was a pioneer of digital music, but when he went home he listened to vinyl,” said Young. “I have to believe if he’d lived long enough, he would have tried to do what I’m trying to do.” Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com.
