Steven Tyler recently opened up on how Nashville inspired his debut album. The Aerosmith frontman explained to Philadelphia Style what compelled him to go in a more country direction on his first solo album. “Aerosmith always had a little country in them, but this solo album is my trip,” Tyler said. “As far as stand-out moments, where creating as Aerosmith was concerned, ‘Dream On’-that’s mine forever. I took a chance and just did it. For my solo record, it was moving to Nashville. All the ladybugs would come out of the barn, flying all around us; it’s the beauty of coming down here and working with a bunch of country folks. I’m a country boy now.” He went on to say, “I just bought a house here so I’m living in Nashville full-on, which is a musical mecca. It was very scary in the beginning, but I started writing with people and within two months, I got five of the greatest songs I’ve ever written or been part of writing. I don’t know what it is that runs through Nashville-I think it’s in the water. I think I’ ve done some of my best work through this country head. Going country has been risky, but I love living through risks-especially when you aren’t thinking about it, you just do it. It’s what I love to do.” Tyler released his debut album, We’re All Somebody from Somewhere on July 15. Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
