New never-before-seen photos of Mick Jagger have been unveiled. The photos come from his film debut in Performance. The 1970 film was considered controversial at the time and the executives at Warner Brothers did all they could to prevent it from being shown. The British gangster film was violent, however, that was not the focus of the controversy. Jagger himself played a gender-bending role and was sexually active with both men and women and even at the same time. The film also contained heavy drug usage. In fact much of the film is centered on psychedelic drugs. Photographer Cecil Beaton was at the shoot to capture some of the scenes and behind-the-scenes moments on film. Now, 46 years later the film is given new life to a more progressive viewing audience. The photos have remerged once more for a new generation to see.
