Neil Young has announced an auction of some of his personal memorabilia. The sell-off will benefit the Bridge School, which has been a key charitable initiative for Young over the decades. The auction will include 230 pieces from his train collection, various pieces of music gear and several of his cars. “Collecting all of these items has been my great joy,” Young said in a statement. “They have provided a source of inspiration, fun and creativity throughout my life. Now, it is time to share them with others in the world whom I hope will enjoy and love them as much as I have.” The auction will take place at Julien’s auction house in Los Angeles on December 9. Some noteworthy items include a Lionel Hudson prototype locomotive, a H.O.A.R.D tour psychedelic Vanderbilt Hudson locomotive and a 50th-anniversary edition 1953 Buick Roadmaster Skylark convertible.
