Looks like we’re seeing our final shows from TOTO.

This seems a bit strange to me, honestly.  I mean, the band is seeing a HUGE surge in popularity with two covers of “Africa” hitting the charts recently.  most famously (or rather, infamously in my opinion) From Weezer.

That same song was featured in Stranger Things, Family Guy, South Park, and even during Nelson Mandela’s funeral!

But!  According to TOTO guitarist Steve Lukather, this is the last we’re going to see from the band. At least for a while.

“I don’t know what the future-future’s gonna be, but I do know that’s gonna be the last show … for the foreseeable future – and certainly the end of this configuration of Toto,” Lukather said during an interview, noting that the band has been on the road for most of the last 12 months and life on the road is “grinding”

This is not the first time TOTO has called it quits.  11 years ago, following long-time bass man Mike Porcaro’s diagnosis with MLS the band decided to hang it up.  But it looks like this time, it may be for good.
