Technology has been influencing music for ages, however, but this is a whole new level. The YouTuber, Funk Turkey, who released an ACDC song written by a bot has struck again. This time, a bot took on a Metallica track.

The song titled “Deliverance Rides”  was 100% written by AI. Funk Turkey, the Youtube user, then performed and produced instrumentals to finish the song.

So, how was this even possible? Great question! The Markov Chain, a mathematical system, gained access to Metallica’s full lyrical catalog. In the words of Funk Turkey, “all lyrics provided by the robots that want to rule us all.” The bot did its bot thing and bada bing, bada boom, AI wrote a whole Metallica song.

And honestly, it isn’t that bad. AI really did write a whole tune that sounds straight from the rock group themselves.

Funk Turkey explained they “tried to get a sound somewhere between the Master of Puppets album and the Black Album. Lars’s drum sound is quite hard to get right without spending a lot of money (or, in some cases, buying a trashcan). Guitars are multi-tracked a lot.”

What do you think of the new Metallica but not really Metallica song?
