Kate Losser talks about finding new life outside of isolation and addiction

Kate Losser (Program Coordinator & Fitness Assistant at Fit To Recover) joins Casey Scott and Dr. Matt Woolley to talk about her experience with trying alcohol for the first time, finding her passion for dance, and turning to alcohol to help ease much of her anxiety as a teenager. We also dive into her decision to drop out of college at 21 years old after being diagnosed with osteoarthritis following a longboarding accident, how a series of events in life pushed her deeper into addiction, and what led her to stay isolated for two months of drinking all day. Kate also talks about her decision to seek treatment, what she learned about recovery during her stay at Brighton Recovery Center, and how Fit To Recover has helped her find a positive community.
