CaMi Sandall shares how fighting for her daughter, Kayla, helped her overcome addiction

CaMi Sandall and her daughter Kayla join Casey Scott and Dr. Matt Woolley to discuss CaMi's issues with feeling out of place in her family as a teenager growing up in a religious culture, her experience with getting kicked out of high school for drinking, and how the birth of Kayla put a hold on her partying for a brief period. CaMi also talks about her introduction to pills to numb the pain of a back injury after a serious car accident, how her descent into deeper drugs began to affect Kayla's health, and the moment that Kayla would be taken away from CaMi because of her drug use. We also dive into CaMi's decision to seek treatment to help bring her daughter back into her life and how the two have created the most profound bond after CaMi turned to recovery.
